India stun World Champions Australia to level series

PERTH, November 5 (PTI): The Indian men's hockey team bounced back in style against Australia, beating the World Champions 2-1 to level the four-match Test series at 1-1 on Wednesday. India started aggressively and kept the opponents' defence busy in the first two quarters. They managed to sneak into Australian defence-line and created good opportunities.

However, Australia drew first blood in the 30th minute when forward player Matt Gohdes deflected a shot and sent the ball into the goal, taking the lead before the end of second quarter.

In the third quarter, Australia earned a penalty corner which was well-defended by India before the visitors counter attacked the Australian D through a long pass. It was Sardar who cleverly forwarded the ball to Ramandeep Singh, who made no mistake in netting the ball, helping his team equalise in the 33rd minute.

The equaliser saw India increase their tempo as they attacked yet again the very next minute through a long pass into the opponents' D. This time, it was SV Sunil who single-handedly took the ball to the circle and cleverly put it past the goalkeeper, giving India the second goal and the lead. In the fourth and final quarter, both India and Australia fought neck-and-neck. India continued their attacking game till the last minute and tried to create more chances but they were now up against a defensive Australia, who managed to hold the scorecard till the final whistle. The third match of the series will be played on November 8.

Now, the day will be remembered for the gloom and destruction descended on the provincial capital.   There was no letup in the wailing of ambulance sirens. Dozens of ambulances, both of government as well as non-governmental organisations, seemed to be running short for ferrying bodies of students and teachers of the Army Public School and College, who fell prey to the devastating act of terrorism on Tuesday. There were ambulances of different hue and colour, but all serving the same purpose of carrying the injured and the bodies to major hospitals, including the Combined Military Hospital and the Lady Reading Hospital. The ambulances were bringing gloom to those whose children were killed by terrorists. People searching for their near and dear ones in the hospitals and on the Warsak Road, where the ill-fated educational institution

WEB DESIGN- WIKIPEDIA

Web design  encompasses many different skills and disciplines in the production and maintenance of websites. The different areas of web design include web graphic design; interface design ; authoring, including standardised code and proprietary software;  user experience design ; and  search engine optimization . Often many individuals will work in teams covering different aspects of the design process, although some designers will cover them all. [1]  The term web design is normally used to describe the design process relating to the front-end (client side) design of a website including writing mark up. Web design partially overlaps  web engineering  in the broader scope of  web development . Web designers are expected to have an awareness of  usability  and if their role involves creating mark up then they are also expected to be up to date with  web accessibility  guidelines.
